Our roots.
Terranova began in 2007 with a belief that clients shouldn’t have to choose between personal attention and the resources to handle large, complex projects. We built a company that brought both together: the reach and capability the work demanded, with the service, craftsmanship and care of a boutique firm.
That belief took us across Long Island, New York City and New Jersey, building and caring for landscapes at universities, hotels, institutions and communities. It also shaped the opportunities we created for people. Terranova earned recognition for vocational outreach and employing individuals with disabilities, alongside a longstanding commitment to charitable work.
The original company’s chapter came to a close. The work continued elsewhere.

In the years that followed, founder Eric Searles helped build two companies, earning six national awards along the way. Those years brought new accomplishments, broader experience and lessons that would shape what came next.
But Terranova remained unfinished business.
Today, Eric returns to that unfinished business with a team who share his commitment to the work. Terranova’s new chapter, TNVA, LLC, carries the same founding belief—strengthened by everything learned along the way.
What we make, makes us. And there is so much more to make.
